They have confirmed the shooter captured after the El Paso mall attack to be 21-year-old Patrick Crusius.

He was “taken into custody without incident” and without any law enforcement officers firing their weapons, according to El Paso Police Department Sgt. Robert Gomez. The alleged shooter’s motives remains unknown, Gomez said, adding that “we have ruled out multiple shooters.”
Police officials said the first 911 calls came in around 10 a.m. local time.
He posted a manifesto about segregating the races and saying that he was fighting against the “Hispanic invasion.”
There are some attempts to paint him as a liberal? That seems pretty stupid to me. We attack those on the left who lie in order to force reality to fit their political agenda. Let’s not do that ourselves.
UPDATE 1: We have just heard that the number of casualties could be 15 and could be as high as 19 at the moment.
