Here’s more from Bloomberg:
A former foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign, George Papadopoulos, secretly pleaded guilty as part of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Bloomberg News’ Tom Schoenberg reports.
Papadopoulos had suggested that Donald Trump meet with top Russian leaders during the campaign. He pleaded guilty to making false statements during an interview with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Wait isn’t that the character from Webster? LOL!
UPDATE:
Here’s the 9-page indictment for Papadopoulos and here is the Statement of Offense which is far more interesting.
Here’s the meat of it:
In short he lied about both the timing of his meeting and the ‘professor’ he met with. He knew he was looking for dirt on Clinton from the Russians after he had been told he’d be working on the Trump campaign.
Also note this was completed in early October. Why is it just coming out now?

In related news…I posted this on the other thread but this is a good place for it too:
The indictment of Manafort and Gates is damning on their financial dealings, but it makes no mention of Trump, collusion or the campaign

Good for @jonkarl for noting this. Many news outlets glossing over it. https://t.co/kGTPm5Vwhd
