[UPDATE: PHOTOS OF FREED HOSTAGES] – First hostages RELEASED by Hamas in deal with Israel

The deal to release some Israeli hostages being held by Hamas – brokered by Qatar – went into effect last night in Israel.

Now we are learning that the first hostages to be released are on their way to the Rafah border crossing via the Red Cross who is transporting them.

This conversely means that some of the Palestinian prisoners are also being released from an Israeli prison, per the agreement:

“Israel will release 39 Palestinians – 24 women and 15 children, while #Hamas will reciprocate with 13 hostages. The transfer will be overseen by the Red Cross, who will take them to #Jerusalem and Betunia.”
