[UPDATE: IDALIA UPGRADED TO CAT 3 AT LANDFALL ] – Florida has another potentially bad hurricane barreling towards it and here’s what we know…

MAJOR UPDATE: Tropical Storm Idalia is now predicted to be a CAT 3 hurricane at landfall. It also appears that it will hit just a little further south than yesterday and it has doubled in speed, from 3 mph to 7 mph.

The state of Florida has another potentially bad hurricane barreling towards it and it’s expected to become a category two hurricane by landfall later this week.

Governor DeSantis gave an update on the storm today:

As the governor said above, the hurricane can wobble so it could hit more north or south of where it’s supposed to hit.

I hope it just ends up being a nice rainstorm but given Florida’s history of dealing with Hurricanes, I don’t think that will happen.

Tropical Storm Idalia just formed about 24 hours ago so the governor is ‘Ronny on the spot’. Because of this he’ll miss an event slated for tomorrow. His lovely wife will take his place:
