Right now it appears that three men are running to be speaker of the House and that Fox News is planning a televised debate between the three men.
You already know about Steve Scalise and Jim Jordan, the latter of which got Trump’s endorsement.
The third congressman to throw his hat in the ring is Kevin Hern from Oklahoma. He’s the chairman of the Republican Study Committee, which has a lot of Republican members.
According to Punchbowl’s Jake Sherman, Bret Baier is hosting a televised debate on Monday between these three men running for speaker:
CLARIFICATION: The @BretBaier speaker debate WILL BE televised. But it will not be open press. meaning Fox News is hosting a televised debate for speaker. Reporters will not be allowed in the room.
They are working out whether this will be pre-taped or live. https://t.co/tWzMF5IRuG

Fox News has confirmed that the debate will take place Monday night.
But this isn’t without controversy. Apparently some House members are very upset that this is happening:
NEW: Multiple House Republicans tell me they're infuriated by the decision for speaker candidates to participate in a televised debate w/ Fox News Host Bret Baier from the Capitol on Monday, & several of them have already communicated those frustrations to the speaker candidates.

One lawmaker called it “insanity” and said “people are pissed.” Another Republican complained that this will turn their speaker’s race into a “circus.” A third predicted event won't go on as planned because of the pushback it's already getting.
