BREAKING: Gavin Newscum is LYING to Kristi Noem after she called on him to work with ICE

Gavin Newscum is outright lying to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem after she called on him to work with ICE and not release tens of thousands of criminal illegals back on to the street.

First, here’s Noem’s tweet:

I am urgently calling on @gavinnewsom to agree to NOT release the 33,179 criminal illegal aliens in California’s custody back into the public without notifying ICE. The crimes of these aliens include 399 homicides, 3,313 assaults, 3,171 burglaries, 1,011 robberies, 8,380 dangerous drugs offenses, 1,984 weapons offenses, and 1,293 sexual predatory offenses.

But this is an outright lie. Bill Melugin tells us that when an criminal illegal has finished serving time, that’s the only time when California prisons work with ICE to deport the illegal. But when it comes to ICE detainers, California law bars prisons and jails from honoring ICE detainers:

In fairness to Newsom, California prisons do cooperate with ICE by transferring convicted criminals at the end of their sentence & he has vetoed bills that tried to end this cooperation.

However, CA county jails are largely banned from honoring ICE detainers due to CA’s sanctuary state law (SB54) and illegal aliens with pending criminal charges are often released on bond with no heads up to ICE, sometimes with deadly consequences. I covered many of these stories when I worked in LA.

 
And US Attorney Bill Essayli agrees with the latter:

In other words, Gavin Newscum is pissing on everyone’s leg and trying to tell us it is raining. We aren’t as stupid as he thinks we are…
