Rudy Giuliani has just released a short statement to clarify several of his TV comments on the last few days:
Statement from Giuliani: “My references to timing were not describing my understanding of the President’s knowledge, but instead, my understanding of these matters.” pic.twitter.com/R0a4j7Shzg

I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this seems like bit of an odd statement. I would have thought it’d be a little more professional, but it looks like he just typed it up himself and emailed.
Also, and more importantly, I’m not sure exactly what he’s clarifying here so I’m not sure what to make of it. I don’t know if this really helps him very much.
To put it in snarky phraseology:
I think Rudy Giuliani's statement needs a statement

UPDATE:
Here’s what Brit Hume had to say about the statement:
Giuliani issues statement to explain his reference to the campaign in his earlier assertion to Fox News that the Stormy Daniels payments were not a campaign contribution. https://t.co/7ZwK1S8Pwr
