First up is Governor DeSantis and it was a landslide over Charlie Crist:
What’s so interesting is that DeSantis won big in Miami-Dade county, which has been historically Democratic, even beating his 2018 results, as well last Trump’s 2020 results:
Miami-Dade is getting the ink, but majority-Hispanic Osceola County (central Florida) is another huge DeSantis breakthrough.
2018: DeSantis 39%
2020: Trump 43%
2022: DeSantis 53%— David Weigel (@daveweigel) November 9, 2022
MINOR UPDATE:
According to @cbsnews exit polls, DeSantis made gains with nearly every demographic group compared to his narrow win in 2018. He won Latino voters, a group he lost by 10 points in 2018. pic.twitter.com/SwbdyjxRlj
