The House impeachment of Biden’s hack DHS Secretary Mayorkas is now on the rocks and risks being undone in their razor thin majority.
Before today there was already one ‘no’ vote against impeachment and it came from Ken Buck (R-Co). Now California Republican Tom McClintock has just joined him:
The only way to stop the border invasion is to replace the Biden administration at the ballot box. Swapping one leftist for another is a fantasy, solves nothing, excuses Biden’s culpability, and unconstitutionally expands impeachment that someday will bite Republicans.

I get what McClintock is saying about voting out Biden but he’s still wrong on impeachment. There needs to be accountability for the horrible job Mayorkas has done with the border and, even if Biden replaces him with a clone, this fact still does not change. The House shouldn’t just sit there twiddling their thumbs while this man continues to wreck the border.
Given that Scalise is out right now, one more ‘no’ vote kills impeachment:
McClintock is a No on impeaching Mayorkas, Buck is a No on impeaching too.
Current House is 219-212, but Steve Scalise is out for health reasons so if there’s otherwise full attendance it’s 218-212. Buck and McClintock make 214 No’s.
One more No would sink the vote. https://t.co/3wRefD5QgL

UPDATE: Mike Gallagher from Wisconsin could be next:
McClintock and Rep. Mike Gallagher both spoke on impeachment at conference, per a source in the room.
Gallagher raised concerns about the process while McClintock spoke against it. He just released a lengthy memo opposing it.
