The House Oversight committee is about to send out a bunch of subpoenas related to the Epstein files, including to the DOJ. They are specifically requesting the DOJ to release the files.
Here’s more from Punchbowl News:
The Oversight Committee will subpoena the DOJ to release the Epstein files after today’s subcmte vote.
But subpoenas will also go to: Bill and Hillary Clinton, former AGs Alberto Gonzales, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Merrick Garland, Bill Barr and Jeff Sessions as well as FBI Directors James Comer and Robert Mueller.
Republicans are also seeking communications between Joe Biden, Biden admin officials and the DOJ related to the Epstein case.

If they do this, as Soellner suggests, this will be a bipartisan subpoena. According to an earlier tweet, this started as a Democrat request:
Lee is targeting this cmte because of its makeup of conservative Rs who have supported the release of Epstein files — Boebert, Biggs, Perry etc.
But currently Clay Higgins, who chairs the subcmte, is the only one present https://t.co/V754XyVVWR

New: Rep. Summer Lee's motion to subpoena the Epstein files passes the subcommittee 8-2.
Mace, Jack and Perry voted with Democrats on the panel.
GOP Reps. Higgins (who chairs the subcmte) and Biggs voted no.
