BREAKING: House Republicans vote on new Speaker at 1PM and Jim Jordan is NOT the only candidate [UPDATE: NO FLOOR VOTE TODAY]

The House Republican caucus will vote at 1pm for the role of House Speaker. Until just a few moments ago, there was only one man running for the job and that was Jim Jordan:

At 1 pm today, House Republicans are going to begin voting on a new Speaker of the House.

There’s only one declared candidate: @Jim_Jordan… And he’s the only one that has a legitimate shot to get to 217.

Yet RINOs are trying to stop it from happening because they can’t stand the idea of having a Speaker that opposes giving endless amounts of money to Ukraine.

If you want Jim Jordan to be Speaker, you need to call your Rep right now: 202-224-3121

Ted Cruz also endorsed Jordan:

But now, Jim Jordan is not the only candidate. A new member has thrown his hat into the ring: Rep. Austin Scott from Georgia:

If Sherman is right, then it sounds like we won’t have a clear winner needed to win on the House floor. We’ll see soon enough…

UPDATE: Looks like there won’t be a floor vote today given some attendance issues:
