BREAKING: The House fails to pass a standalone bill to send $17.6 billion to Israel on a 250-180 vote–largely along party lines–short of the 2/3 threshold required as it was brought up on suspension.

The standalone Israel aid bill, which needed 2/3rds, fails. 250-180. 46 Dem yes votes, 14 GOP no votes. Most critically, Reps. Norman, Massie and Roy all voted no, effectively killing Johnson's backup plan of bringing this thru the Rules Committee for a simple majority vote. https://t.co/RWKMuOihdS
