It’s just being reported that the Houthis attacked a US-flagged, owned, and operated container ship in the Red Sea today, firing three ballistic missiles at it.
But the USS Gravely defended the ship, destroying two of the ballistic missiles while the other landed in the ocean.
Here’s the official report from US CENTCOM:

On Jan. 24 at approximately 2 p.m. (Sanaa time), Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists fired three anti-ship ballistic missiles from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen toward the U.S.-flagged, owned, and operated container ship M/V Maersk Detroit, transiting the Gulf of Aden. One missile impacted in the sea. The two other missiles were successfully engaged and shot down by the USS Gravely (DDG 107). There were no reported injuries or damage to the ship.
And here’s a little more from Fox News reporter Liz Friden:
NEW: The Iran-backed Houthi's fired three missiles at the U.S. flagged/owned M/V Maersk Detroit container ship in the Southern Red Sea today. The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Gravely successfully intercepted the missiles, a U.S. official told Fox News.

Adding key details from a U.S. defense official:
-The USS Gravely intercepted two of the ballistic missiles and one splashed down in the sea
-The M/V Maersk Detroit was in the Gulf of Aden when this happened
-It is U.S. flagged, U.S. owned & U.S. operated— Liz Friden (@Liz_Friden) January 24, 2024
So how many more attacks must ships endure before the US and its international coalition does what’s needed to be done and drops a MOAB on the Houthis??? They are not going to stop until Biden gets serious.
