Donald Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump, has died.
Donald Trump said, “I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there were many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City. She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life. Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. She was so proud of them as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana.”
The two were married in 1973 and divorced in 1992.
I don’t know much about Ivana Trump to be honest, but it doesn’t matter. Trump spoke well of her in her in his statement and dredging up the past like some are doing isn’t important.
RIP, Ivana.
UPDATE: I appears Ivana’s death was sudden, that she died of cardiac arrest:
Ivana Trump, the first wife of former President Donald Trump, died unexpectedly on Thursday at the age of 73 after paramedics were called to her home to respond to a person in cardiac arrest.
Local news stations reported that the death is not considered suspicious as she is believed to have passed away from natural causes. City officials will still investigate and release a report on the official cause of death.
I can imagine that the Trump family is in the depths of grief at this point, especially with this being unexpected.
