John Fetterman today indicated that he would vote for most of the House border bill (HR2 which passed early last year), adding there is one provision he could not support.
According to Chad Pergram, Fetterman wants stricter border enforcement and would support everything in the bill except for the part where it ends DACA:
1) Dem PA Sen Fetterman says he is for most of HR2 except portion which ends DACA. Says he wants a "grand bargain" on border security, linked to international aid. Says he wants something "stronger" than the bipartisan bill which blew up earlier this winter.

2) Fetterman on HR2: I analyzed it closely. And the the one thing that I cannot support is that it effectively ends DACA at all. But anything other than that that all can be on the table for me…

3) Fetterman on a strong border security bill: We have to up the proof on that a little bit. A little stiffer..kind of a drink on that..as a Democrat, you know, and am willing and eager to go stronger than the border deal that that was here

This is a shocker and could be a game changer if Republicans could get a modified bill up for a vote and can score at least one more Democrat in support of this bill in exchange for foreign aid, like say Joe Manchin.
