BREAKING: Johnson FIRES Mike Turner as chair of the House Intel Committee and it was because TRUMP

It was just reported that Speaker Johnson removed Rep. Mike Turner as chair of the powerful House Intelligence Committee because President Trump and his team wanted Turner gone.

The reporting from Punchbowl News reporter Melanie Zonona is that “Trump was a big factor here, we’re told. Ppl in his orbit thought Turner is too close to the intel agencies. The far-right did not like how Turner handled FISA fight. And Turner is pro-Ukraine & NATO.”

 
Mike Turner validates this to reporter Margarett Brennan:

I spoke with House intel chair Mike Turner (R-OH) who told me that Speaker Johnson has fired him as chair of the committee overseeing the intelligence community. Johnson cited “concerns from Mar a Lago” as justification for the removal.
Rep Jim Himes (D-CT) tells CBS that this “just sends a shiver down my spine.”

This makes sense as Mike Turner was one of the eight who blocked the impeachment of Biden’s hack DHS Secretary Mayorkas.

He was also one of 39 Republicans who voted for the Democrat gay marriage bill.

Turner was also one of the 13 Republicans who voted for the Democrat gun control bill.

And he voted against censuring Adam Schiff:
