It was announced this morning that Speaker Johnson removed Thomas Massive from the House rules committee and replaced him with Morgan Griffith:

This was seen by many as retribution against Massie for his no vote on Johnson for Speaker. But Massie says that’s not what happened:
I volunteered to step aside if the Speaker wanted to place someone else on the Rules Committee and he chose that option. This was not retribution for my vote against him.
