BREAKING: Judge in Rittenhouse case just banned MSNBC from courtroom! [UPDATE: STATEMENT FROM NBC NEWS]

The judge in the Rittenhouse case just banned MSNBC from the courtroom after one of their producers was caught following the jury bus in hopes of getting photos of the jury.

The judge explains that a producer for MSNBC, named James Morrison, was instructed by his boss in New York to follow the jury bus and was stopped by police. He was charged with traffic violations and was caught trying to take photos of the jury.

Here’s more from MyStateLine:

MSNBC has been barred from the courtroom in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial after a producer was stopped by police for following a van used to transport the jury.

MSNBC news producer James Morrison was allegedly stopped by police Thursday after running a stoplight while attempting to follow a van used to bring jury members to the courtroom.

Kenosha Police said Morrison was “trying to photograph jurors.” He was charged with several traffic violations, police said.

Judge Bruce Schroeder said the jury van is equipped with blacked out windows so the jury is prevented from being exposed to “anything from one side or the other” while being brought to the courthouse.

“I have instructed that no one from MSNBC News will be permitted in this building for the duration of this trial,” Schroeder said.

“This is a very serious matter,” Schroeder said. “I don’t know what the ultimate truth of it is…but someone following a jury bus is an extremely serious matter, and will be referred to the proper authorities for further action.”

This is really a huge scandal because the activists at MSNBC are trying to expose jury members, who are reportedly already worried about a backlash. This will amount to intimidation of the jury and this producer and his boss, who ordered him to do it, should both be arrested and charged. They should not be allowed to get away with interfering in a trial and I’m glad the judge has banned them from the courtroom.

UPDATE: NBC News just released this statement in response:

I don’t believe this for a second. The producer admitted he was told to follow the jury bus and was caught trying to photograph jurors. NBC News is just lying to cover their butt. I hope they regret this incident a lot more before this is over.
