The judge overseeing former President Trump’s classified documents case rejected one of his motions to dismiss the charges on Thursday, hours after a hearing over the arguments concluded.
Judge Aileen Cannon in her filing cited “unconstitutional vagueness” in her dismissal of Trump’s motion.
“The Court ultimately determines, following lengthy oral argument, that resolution of the overall question presented depends too greatly on contested instructional questions about still-fluctuating definitions of statutory terms/phrases as charged,” Cannon wrote in the filing.
But there’s still hope for a dismissal from Cannon, as Jonathan Turley points out:
As expected, Judge Cannon has rejected one of the motion to dismiss the documents case based on vagueness. While finding merit in Trump's arguments, she felt the issue is properly left to the jury. She has not ruled on the separate motion concerning the Presidential Records Act.

Trump’s attorneys argued for two motions today, the second being the Presidential Records Act. Perhaps he will prevail with this one…
