A memo warning that layoffs are underway today at CNN was sent out to all employees and paid contributors by the new CEO Chris Licht.
Both paid contributors and employees will be part of the layoffs, with Licht saying “it will be a difficult time for everyone.”
Licht added that these layoffs are a part of a “recalibrated reporting strategy”.

It’ll be interesting to see what CNN looks like after all of this ‘recalibration’ is done.
I just hope Jim Acosta is part of these layoffs because he’s absolutely terrible. If Licht is wanting to create a ‘new’ CNN, then he needs to get rid of the old trash and Acosta is certainly a big part of that.

Even Colbert seemed somewhat stunned by that comment because we all know it’s absolutely laughable and not true.
