BREAKING: Lou Dobbs and Bob Newhart pass away

Both Lou Dobbs and Bob Newhart have just passed away today. Dobbs was 78 and Newhart 94.

Trump paid tribute to Dobbs a few moments ago:

The Great Lou Dobbs has just passed away — A friend, and truly incredible Journalist, Reporter, and Talent. He understood the World, and what was “happening,” better than others. Lou was unique in so many ways, and loved our Country. Our warmest condolences to his wonderful wife, Debi, and family. He will be greatly missed!

Here’s more on Newhart’s death:

Bob Newhart — an absolute legend of stand-up comedy, TV and film — has died.

Bob passed away Thursday at his Los Angeles home after a series of brief illnesses according to his longtime rep.

He’s perhaps best known for his deadpan delivery, and his 2 successful sitcoms — “The Bob Newhart Show” came first from 1972 to 1978, and costarred Suzanne Pleshette, Marcia Wallace and Peter Bonerz.

He returned to primetime again in 1982 with “Newhart,” which ran until 1990. The series finale has been hailed as one of the greatest in TV history … as Bob wakes up in bed, and realizes the whole 8-year run had been a dream sequence.

Bob is survived by his 4 children and 10 grandchildren. His wife of 60 years, Virginia Quinn, died last year.

Newhart was more recently in the Big Bang theory and he was fantastic. He never lost his gift for comedy.

RIP to both Dobbs and Newhart.
