Marjorie Taylor Greene just renounced conspiracy theories on the House floor in a speech before Democrat vote to remove her from all committees:
At the beginning of her speech, which was cut off by Fox News, Greene said she believes the mass shooting at a Parkland, FL high school was real and also said she believes 9/11 was real.
As her speech unfolded, she spoke of regret for things she’s said in the past and noted that she’s is a Christian who has been humbled by this, realizing once again that she’s a sinner whose salvation comes from God’s grace.
I encourage you to watch the entire speech, as it’s really good. I doubt it will mean a hill of beans to Democrats who simply want to use her as a cudgel to beat up on Republicans. In fact they are voting now on ousting her from committees. It’s still early, but we already know the outcome.
UPDATE: Here’s the full video:
Today, I rose in objection to the unprecedented attempt by the Democrat majority to remove me from my committee seats.
I’ve never been more proud to represent the people of NW Georgia.
