Matt Gaetz is very unhappy with Speaker McCarthy and said on the floor tonight that he plans to file a motion to give him the boot.
Here’s the reporting:
GAETZ just essentially said on the House floor that he will file a motion to boot McCarthy out of the speakership.
He said Democrats will have an opportunity to hold McCarthy responsible for his record over the last 8 months. And he said we'll see if Democrats bail him out.

The Hill has his entire quote:
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) on the House floor all but promised to force a vote on ousting Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) from his post.
“The one thing I agree with my Democrat colleagues on is that for the last eight months, this House has been poorly led,” he said. “And we own that, and we have to do something about it. And you know what? My Democrat colleagues will have an opportunity to do something about that, too. And we will see if they bail out our failed Speaker.”
Now I will point out that Gaetz has backed down just a little from his earlier comment, suggesting the motion isn’t set in stone:
Gaetz: Whether or not there is even a motion to vacate remains entirely in the control of speaker McCarthy. It is not a certainty and I wouldn't want anyone to report that it is

Meanwhile, McCarthy is getting a win tonight by successfully getting his members to adopt a rule for 4 spending bills:
From colleague Kelly Phares. House adopts rule for 4 spending bills, 216-212. This is a win for McCarthy. GOP GA Rep Greene is lone nay. 4 GOPers absent. First time McCarthy has been able to get most of his mbrs in line after failed rules earlier this month
