Now the governor of Minnesota has called out the national guard in order to prevent more looting and rioting.

That is probably a very good thing.
I think it’s pretty clear that the majority of the country does not support what happened to George Floyd, and they want the cops to be investigated and prosecuted over it. I’ve seen a lot of support for the non-violent protests even among those on the right who are usually against this kind of stuff.
BUT, there is a huge difference between protesting and rioting and looting. Clearly, the scumbag opportunists are taking this event in order to justify stealing and destroying property. It is dishonest to equate the two groups. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult for law enforcement to sort out these two groups and protect one from another when enforcing the law during a riot. Hopefully, the rule of law will be upheld again, for the sake of everyone involved.
