BREAKING: “Mueller probe close to being completed!”

The Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker has just told reporters that the Mueller probe is “close to being completed”:

I have no idea what ‘close’ really means, but I would assume Whitaker means in the next few months, certainly before the 2 year mark in May.

It’s good that this is finally coming to and end. But the entire focus will be Mueller’s final report which, as we now know, will be a classified document given to the Attorney General. The AG’s office will then compile their own report and release it to the public.

Given this information, I wonder how quickly the Senate will move to confirm William Barr so that he’s the one that makes the final release. His hearing is over and he’s now submitted written documentation to answer questions posed to him during the hearing.

Also, this is like 22 months or so before the election of 2020. It seems to me this is early enough that, unless there’s something egregious, it won’t have a big impact on the election. Although I’m sure the media will do everything they can to make sure people remember what is in the report, especially if it speaks negatively of Trump.

Sounds like this is all about to be over…at least as far as Mueller is concerned. We know the House will do everything they can to find a reason to impeach Trump before 2020.
