The Mansfield ISD confirmed Arlington police and other neighboring law enforcement agencies are investigating an active shooter situation inside the school.

It is currently on lockdown and all students and staff are being held in their classrooms, the district said.

Police sources confirmed to FOX 4 three people were shot and taken to the hospital. No fatalities were reported.
