BREAKING: Netanyahu vows not to advance anti-Christian bill

Yesterday we told you about the anti-Christian bill brought by two members of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s coalition in the Knesset. The bill would have outlawed the spread of Christianity in Israel.

Christian leaders have called on Netanyahu to disavow the new bill and he’s down just that:

Netanyahu writes “We will not advance any law against the Christian community.” He wrote it in both English and Hebrew.

This is good news and I hope the two Knesset members who put for this legislation get a mouthful from Netanyahu and his allies over this.

It wouldn’t surprise me at some point if leftist radicals over here suggest a similar law, especially since Christians generally oppose homosexuality and speak out against it. I can see certain liberal states trying to criminalize speech against the alphabet mafia, especially what’s said behind the pulpit. I don’t think we are there yet but in the years to come I fully expect something like this to happen.
