It’s just being reported that Pete Hegseth’s nomination was voted on in the Armed Services Committee and it succeeded by a vote of 14-13.
It will now go to the Senate floor for a full vote.
Sen. Tim Kaine says Armed Services panel voted 14-13 on party lines to waive 7-day rule and report Pete Hegseth out of committee. Big win for Trump on Inauguration Day.

This is one hurdle down but the big hurdle remains of getting enough support to pass the Senate. Republicans can’t afford to lose but two votes. Hopefully Fetterman will vote in support of Hegseth and help get him over the finish line.
