President Trump just announced this morning that he is substantially lowering tariffs on China from 145% to 80% ahead of their trade talks in Switzerland.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, “80% Tariff on China seems right! Up to Scott B.”
“Scott B.” is Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
Hopefully this will help him kick open the door so that a proper trade deal can be made with China.
