President-elect Trump’s Middle East envoy is heading to Doha today to try and help secure a ceasefire deal to release the hostages in Gaza before President Trump takes office.
Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff talked today about those negotiations and Trump reiterated fully that the hostages better get released or all hell will break out in the Middle East when he steps into the Oval Office.
Witkoff said “I think we’re making a lot of progress” and was optimistic that a deal can be done by Trump’s inauguration. But he made clear that he believes Trump and his reputation are driving the negotiations.
