BREAKING: Project Veritas catches Utah Senate Republican candidate saying she’d stand up FOR abortion if Roe v Wade overturned

Project Veritas has just released a short video of a Utah Republican running against Mike Lee for the Senate, Becky Edwards, explaining how she’d be the best candidate to stand up for abortion if Roe v Wade were overturned:

No slight against Project Veritas but this really isn’t blockbuster.

Last month KUTV questioned both Republican candidates running against Mike Lee on Roe v Wade being overturned and Edwards clearly explained that she doesn’t support overturning the baby-killing law:

A clear contrast emerged over abortion Friday among Republican challengers to Sen. Mike Lee, with Ally Isom saying she supports overturning Roe v. Wade, while Becky Edwards said she does not.

“I have not seen any compelling reason why we need to revisit Roe v. Wade,” Edwards said. “I respect the process the Supreme Court is going through right now, and I was disturbed to see the leak of the draft document, and I look forward to seeing what their final decision is.”

Edwards said had she been in the Senate this week, she would have voted against the abortion bill — pushed by Democrats — but it would have been a no vote because of a hurry-up “process,” not necessarily over substance in the legislation.

You see that last paragraph? She would have only voted against the Democrat expansion of Roe v Wade only because of the process, not because of the substance of the bill!

Edwards is clearly a pro-abortion candidate who supports Roe v Wade.

In case you are wondering, the other female Republican candidate, Ally Isom, does support overturning Roe v Wade but she’s not for completely outlawing abortion in all cases:

“Do you favor overturning Roe v. Wade?” 2News asked Isom.

“I think it’s a really important time in our country to be having this conversation, and I’m a pro-life candidate,“ she replied. “I think there are very limited exceptions, and I’m going to err on the side of life. I really believe the decisions lie with the states.“

Let me guess, rape, incest? KUTV didn’t ask or explain what Isom’s “limited exceptions” would be, so we’re left to wonder.

If I am right about rape and incest, then it would make Isom no different than Mike Lee, who plainly says on his website “On this basis, it is vital to outlaw abortion after [20 weeks], except when an acute physical condition endangers the life of the mother, or in cases of rape, or cases of incest against a minor.”

But Edwards is clearly a hardcore RINO who would be no different than Murkowski in the Senate and I hope Utah goes nowhere near her.

I should add that political shyster Evan McMullin is in this race as well as an Independent, and he’s all over the board on abortion. One minute he supports overturning Roe v Wade, but when it actually looks like it’s going to happen, he went soft and claimed “I do not think that that is the way for the country to move forward on this issue.”
