BREAKING: Republicans win control of the House with 218 seats!

Republicans have just won control of the House of Representatives which gives them an effective veto on Joe Biden’s agenda.

The 218th seat was Mike Garcia in California, and there are still a couple more seats that might come Republican’s way.

Here’s more from Fox News:

Republicans have secured a majority in the House of Representatives when the 118th U.S. Congress convenes next January.

The GOP has now won 218 seats after the Associated Press projected that Republican Mike Garcia will win reelection in California’s 27th Congressional District.

Democrats, meanwhile, have secured 209 seats as vote counting continues more than a week after Election Day. Eight seats are still in play.

President Biden congratulated Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., for his party’s victory.

“In this election, voters spoke clearly about their concerns: the need to lower costs, protect the right to choose, and preserve our democracy,” Biden said in a statement. “I will work with anyone – Republican or Democrat – willing to work with me to deliver results for them.”

This is what guarantees that there will be gridlock. If we had lost the House then Democrats could continue their assault on the American public.

I content though that even if we had won the Senate, gridlock would have been the best we could have hoped for legislatively speaking because Joe Biden controls the White House. So from that perspective, Republicans were successful.

And I will be so happy to see Nancy Pelosi kicked out of the Speaker’s position.
