Breaking! Rick Perry reportedly in negotiations to LEAVE Trump admin!

The fake news media got a fake news scoop about Rick Perry, our Secretary of Energy.

Lies, all lies! Maybe.

From Bloomberg:

Energy Secretary Rick Perry is planning to leave the Trump administration and is finalizing the terms and timing of his departure, according to two people familiar with his plans.

While Perry’s exit isn’t imminent and one person familiar with the matter said the former Texas governor still hasn’t fully made up his mind, three people said he has been seriously considering his departure for weeks. All of the people spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations.

The White House press office didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Perry, an Air Force veteran who was previously Texas’s longest-serving governor, has enjoyed a good rapport with President Donald Trump. Trump personally asked Perry if he’d take over as Homeland Security secretary, before the president asked Kirstjen Nielsen to resign earlier this month, two of the people said. Perry declined, they said.

He probably misses dancing with the stars.

  1. Perry’s goal was to dissolve the Dept of Energy. Sounds like his plan is taking shape.

  2. It’s hard to blame anyone for turning down a job in any of the agencies that are so much out there in the MSM. And Trump May or may not be correct in the criticism of different appointees, however, he is definitely wrong for attacking his own in public. So, I do t blame any of them…if true…

  3. Maybe Tromp should appoint Jeb! Secretary of Energy. Energy, get it? Hahahaha! I crack me up.

    1. Little Marco as Undersecretary of Water? And Chris Christie as Deputy in Charge of Donuts?

  4. I know he is popular with many but I do not like or trust Rick Perry. He tried to make Gardasil injections mandatory in all young girls and boys, despite the known harmful effects of the drug, including death…this because his wife, a well-connected nurse, had a deal with the drug company. We, the people of Texas gave him a resounding NO. Not gonna miss the SOB; it would not surprise me if he wants to leave before being investigated by AG Barr for whatever self-serving schemes he forged with various energy companies. Good riddance!

    1. It was a serious flaw, but we the people smacked him in the face and set him on the right track on that one. He even had to make a public apology if I recall. Otherwise, he was a relatively competent Texas governor for 16 years. We could have had worse people in charge.

  5. Perry probably thinks that when he resigns, the department of energy will shut down too Goal accomplished

  6. Meh, never been much of a fan. And wearing glasses doesn’t actually increase your IQ.

  7. when stupid stories like this one, designed to fill the news, start ‘condition of NON-anonymity ‘, then I might believe them.
    Otherwise, more news BS.

    1. Libs hate him with a passion. He’s been wrecking a lot of their plans at the Dept. of Energy

        1. Don’t worry, there’s going to be plenty of entertainment from the Democrat clown car.

  13. Just keep Perry away from Texas. Abbot is a far better governor. A lot of rural Texans never forgave Perry for the Trans Texas Corridor power grab. We voted for him because he was better than the Democrat alternatives.

    1. yep Not many choices anymore. Mostly cause Mitch and company keep pushing Rino Progressives and the Loons keep pushing g Communists, Marxists, Progressives, Socialists and Radical Muslims….
All in all though, Rick Perry did a pretty good job compared to many. Greg Abbott is awesome.
      We live in Wa. State…

    2. Don’t forget trying to force young kids into have Gardasil vaccines because his wife, the nurse, had a vested interest! Nope, I would prefer the Perry stay the hell out of Texas, as well.

    1. Yeah. If you had asked me last week if Rick Perry worked in the administration, I would have vaguely thought so but would have been hard pressed to remember which department.
