Secretary of State Marco Rubio just ordered non-emergency personnel in Lebanon to evacuate over the situation in Beirut.
They’ve given Lebanon a “Level 4: Do Not Travel”
Here’s what they write:
Lebanon: On February 23, 2026 the Department of State ordered the departure from Lebanon of non-emergency U.S. government personnel and family members of government personnel due to the security situation in Beirut. The Travel Advisory for Lebanon remains at Level 4 – Do Not Travel.

At the website, they say the risk of armed conflict and terrorism are among the factors leading to this evacuation notice:
Do Not Travel to Lebanon due to crime, terrorism, civil unrest, kidnapping, unexploded landmines, and the risk of armed conflict.
It’s pretty clear to me that Hezbollah, being a proxy of Iran, would be part of Iran’s response should President Trump go through with a military attack on the country. And that’s why I think this notice has gone out.
General Jack Keane was on Fox News this morning and said he really believes Trump will go through with a military attack, and that he absolutely should. He said we’ve never been at this point where we can set Iran up for regime change, which is badly needed.
