BREAKING: Russia announces Assad is in Moscow

It was just announced by Russian media that Bashar al-Assad has fled Syria and is now in Moscow. This obviously isn’t a state visit, as Russia media is also reporting that Putin is granting Assad and his family asylum.

Here’s the report:

Say what you will about Assad, but he provided stability in Syria and now all of that is gone. Both Turkey and Iran want Syria and they will probably work together to use it to try and bring and end to Israel.

This is a horrible development for the region.
