RBG says her cancer returned in May in terms of lesions on her liver. She says this is unrelated to her recent hospitalization for treatment of an infection.
She says chemotherapy has worked to reduce the liver lesions and her latest scan indicates no new disease. She indicates that this has not been an impediment to her doing her job on the high court.
As the tweet indicates, RBG adds “I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that.”
We continue to wish her well. Cancer can be a nasty beast and I’m glad she’s able to keep it at bay.
