BREAKING: School shooting at high school in Georgia, suspect in custody… [VIDEO UPDATE: 2 students, teachers dead]

I was away from my computer for a while, only to come back and find out a shooting occurred at a high school in Georgia.

Law enforcement has confirmed a suspect is in custody but there are no reports on how severe the injuries are or if any are dead.

Here’s what we know via Fox 8:

A shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, has resulted in multiple injuries, authorities said Wednesday.

“Casualties have been reported, however details on the number or their conditions is not available at this time,” the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

A suspect has been taken into custody.

Sheriff Jud Smith said law enforcement received a call of an active shooter at 9:30 a.m. The sheriff declined to confirm the number of injuries in a press conference at 1 p.m., but said more information may be made available around 4 p.m.

He said the priority was reuniting students with their families.

“Obviously, what you see behind us is an evil thing today,” Sheriff Smith said.

I’ll dig around and see what I can learn and update you as soon as I can.

UPDATE: It’s being reported that 4 people are dead and at least 30 wounded. Devastating.

UPDATE: Fox News and MSNBC are now reporting that four are dead and 9 went to the hospital. Maybe CNN should check their sources.

Here’s a local Fox station out of Atlanta confirming this:

UPDATE: Two students and two teachers are dead from the shooting. The shooter is a 14-year-old student named Colt Gray and he will be tried as an adult:

UPDATE: The student surrendered to the school resource officer, which is why he’s still alive:
