BREAKING: Scott Bessent responds LIKE A BOSS to Schumer Shutdown Senator

Yesterday we told you about the X post from Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to both Democratic Senators Warren and Klobuchar, in which he called them failures.

Amy Klobuchar responded, acting as if his post didn’t really matter and trying to take a false high road:

Well top of the morning to you Mr. Treasury Secretary! I hope you’ve had some sleep since sending the attached. At first I thought to myself wow, this must be a fake account given your really important job and all. But no, it’s really you. DOUBLE WOW! Since you and I have had no public or private personal “BEEFS” (Argentinian or otherwise), maybe it is just your jet lag from all the overseas travel. The super serious and fact-based letter I sent you on October 23 as Ranking Member of the Agriculture Committee with over a dozen members of the Senate simply asked if you would reconsider the tariff policies and foreign bailout: http://klobuchar.senate.gov/public/_cache/…

And while your announcement today reversing just part of your own administration’s bad policies is always helpful, there is just so much left to undo before these across-the-board tariffs upend the economy in rural America forever, not to mention becoming a huge burden in the form of the tariff tax on all Americans.

In any case let me know when you are ready to meet to discuss tariffs over some 40% more expensive coffee.

P.S. thanks for sending that glam pic of the President in Asia. Here’s one of the House of Representatives this week. Love it if they came back to meet with us and your boss to do something about health insurance premiums and end the shut down.

Thanks.
Amy

Bessent, who clearly is not messing around, only responded to the end of her ridiculous post about ending the shutdown, saying:

The shutdown will end when you and Senator Schumer finish your tantrum and vote for the clean, non-partisan funding bill. It’s time for you to be a hero, join with your sane, moderate colleagues, and allow millions of American families to sit side-by-side around the Thanksgiving table.

Boom. I love that he doesn’t play her stupid game. What a great response.
