The Senate just voted to advance the Republican stopgap funding bill with votes to spare, with all but one Republican voting for the bill and 10 Democrats coming over.
Here’s the news:
By a vote of 62-38, the #Senate invoked cloture on H.R. 1968, the Continuing Appropriations Act.
Democrats/independents voting yes: Senators Cortez Masto, Durbin, Fetterman, Gillibrand, Hassan, King, Peters, Schatz, Schumer, and Shaheen.
Republicans voting no: Senator Paul.

As we’ve seen in the past, Senators like McConnell can vote one way on cloture and another on passage. So it’s by no means a done deal yet.
