BREAKING: Senate just voted to ADVANCE Kash Patel’s nomination for FBI Director

The Senate just voted to advance President Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel, and the vote was along party lines.

There was not a single Democrat voted in support of advancing Patel’s nomination. And Mitch McConnell was the 51st vote.

The full vote was 51-47.

The Senate will move quickly to confirm Patel according to Senator Markwayne Mullin, noting that because this is a director-level nomination it doesn’t require the full 30 hours. They will vote to confirm around 1:45PM, assuming there are no holdups.
