The Senate has finally passed the final bill to end the government shutdown and the bill will now head to the House.
The bill passed the Senate by a vote of 60 to 40, just like the vote that overcame the filibuster:
By a vote of 60-40, the Senate passed H.R.5371, Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2026, as amended.
Democrats/Independent voting in favor: Senators Cortez Masto, Durbin, Fetterman, Hassan, Kaine, King, Rosen & Shaheen
