It turns out Speaker Johnson is not happy about a provision in the Senate bill to reopen the government, and has vowed to reverse it.
That provision allows Senators who were spied on by Biden hack Jack Smith to sue the government.
Here’s the news:
NEW — JOHNSON said he did not know about the provision that allows senators to sue for damages if they’re the subject of government surveillance.
“It was a really bad look,” Johnson said. “And we’re going to fix it in the House.”

I don’t know if this means the bill has to go back to the Senate, but that would be a hell of a thing.
