The Supreme Court has just denied a request from the porn industry to block a new Texas law requiring porn sites to use age verification for access to their sites.

The US Supreme Court let Texas keep imposing age-verification requirements on porn sites, rejecting a challenge by an industry-led group arguing that the new law violates the constitutional rights of adults.
The order, which came without explanation or any public dissent, leaves in force a measure that has already forced one of the biggest sites, Pornhub, to shut down in Texas. The opponents sought to halt the law while the high court decides whether to hear their appeal.
This is a huge blow to the porn industry. If this case does ever reach the Supreme Court, this denial suggests they could favor Texas.
