Well this is alarming. Ted Cruz has dropped a statement saying he has quarantined himself because he was in contact with the coronavirus infected person at CPAC:

Cruz: Last night, I was informed that 10 days ago at CPAC I briefly interacted with an individual who is currently symptomatic and has tested positive for COVID-19. That interaction consisted of a brief conversation and a handshake.

Cruz on interacting w/person w/coronavirus at CPAC: I’m not experiencing any symptoms, and I feel fine and healthy..the medical authorities have advised me that the odds of transmission from the other individual to me were extremely low.

Cruz says he does not appear to have coronavirus. But "out of an abundance of caution, and because of how frequently I interact with my constituents..I have decided to remain at my home in Texas this week, until a full 14 days have passed since the CPAC interaction.:"

So. I could see this just him being overly cautious. But it makes you wonder who else is at risk. I definitely think the panic around coronavirus is not justified, but we need to take it seriously. Wash your hands, people.
UPDATE: We posted earlier about the person who was identified as being infected with coronavirus at CPAC. There are few details about them, but here’s the report.
