Earlier today the NCAA Tournament, known as March Madness, had said that fans would not be allowed to attend due to the spread of the coronavirus. Now, both the Big 10 and the ACC Tournament have canceled their fans as well:

The Big 10 tournament is no longer allowing fans to attend games, starting tomorrow due to the Coronavirus. The tournament started today and the Maryland men will play their first game on Friday.

This is really amazing when you think about it. But even if you think they are overreacting, I know from a friend of mine who is at the ACC tournament now that there aren’t nearly as many fans there as there normally would be. Here’s a photo I found on Twitter:
That’s a lot of empty seats. I imagine it’s similar at the Big 10. Welcome to the new normal.
