A contributor to The Blaze and investigative journalist, Steve Baker, just announced that he’s being charged and prosecuted by the DOJ for his activities on January 6th. According to Baker, those activities were simply his journalistic efforts to cover what was happening.
He says the FBI contacted his lawyer and he has to self-surrender on Tuesday:
🚨BREAKING🚨 My attorney has just been notified by @FBI that I am going to be charged by @TheJusticeDept for my journalistic efforts on #Jan6. I have to self-surrender on Tuesday. Charges are yet unknown. Stay tuned for more information to follow this afternoon.

Baker says he did enter the Capitol to cover what was happening, but that he didn’t do anything with the crowd or anything malicious:
Yes . . . I entered the Capitol, like about 60 other journalists. Did no damage or parading or violence.

It’s ridiculous what this DOJ uses as an excuse to prosecute in terms of January 6th. I hope Baker prevails in his defense of this weaponized prosecution.
