Tonight Trump decided not to announce that he’s going to run for president, so as not to interfere with the very important midterms.
However he did announce when he would be making the presidential announcement and from where.
It’s next Tuesday at Mar-a-Lago, whenhe will hold a press conference:

We all know he’s going to run and there really never was any doubt. But every campaign needs a beginning.
I just wonder, does Mar-a-Lago have an escalator?
In very much related news, Trump’s surrogates are already making the case against Governor DeSantis:
"Ron DeSantis has not been tested out on the national stage."
"Donald Trump has proved he's a fighter who can fight back, Ron DeSantis has not proved that yet," @KellyRiddell tells Newsmax.

This is a lame argument. Trump wasn’t proven either but he won in 2016. DeSantis is way more qualified, having run an entire state while enacting terrific policies.
But I suppose Riddell is right about one thing, that DeSantis probably won’t run if Trump is running. At least that’s what Trump wants to happen anyway.
