It’s been reported this morning that White House counsel Don McGahn would be leaving the White House this fall.
Well it turns out that story is true and was just confirmed by Trump:
White House Counsel Don McGahn will be leaving his position in the fall, shortly after the confirmation (hopefully) of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court. I have worked with Don for a long time and truly appreciate his service!

This is interesting because McGahn was the won who met with Mueller a little more than a week ago to discuss Trump’s possible testimony. The NY Times suggested McGahn was cooperating with Mueller, but Trump quickly pointed out that he was the one who authorized McGahn (and others) to meet with Mueller on his behalf.
It just makes one wonder if this intense spotlight is starting to get to him.
