There’s been somewhat of a spat between President Trump and Italy Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, where Trump suggested she begged for a photo at the recent G7 and she countered that she did not. I haven’t covered it because, honestly, I find it boring.
But today Trump has changed angles, calling out Meloni for refusing to aid the US, a NATO ally, with Iran.
This is what he said:
After spending Trillions of Dollars on NATO, Italy, and its Prime Minister, wouldn’t even think of becoming involved with the Islamic Republic of Iran and their very serious Nuclear Threat. For decades, we defend them but, when tested, they are not there to defend us, and the rest of the World. Not good! President DONALD J. TRUMP
This is more than likely a prelude to something Trump is planning to do, but that’s just a guess. Either way, he’s not wrong about this.
