I understand that the economy is struggling right now due to government intervention over the coronavirus. But I thought the 2 trillion we just spent was to fix that?
Even if interest rates are zero, 2 trillion dollars is half of the money we bring in every year in taxes. We just spent the other half on this pandemic. Money doesn’t grow on trees.

Caruso is exactly right. Trump’s admitted that the lard in the emergency stimulus bill was due to the fact that the Democrats control the House and it was the only way to get it passed in a hurry. How much worse do you think it will be with another 2 trillion dollar bill that isn’t an emergency? How many “Kennedy centers” will be in that one?
